Routes of Changes

For some years, infact for many years, my life has been in a flux!! All I had dreamed off is a small government job, a two stored 3 bedroom home with small garden, 2 children & a loving spouse. Except the last part, I have never been able to get the rest!!

With last debacle of a job which I left in 2018, it took me a year to self heal myself and adjust to an avalanche of changes coming my way. Externally it looks like a stable ship sailing, but internally I am handling the challenges trying to navigate through choppy economic conditions.

Music has been a respite and a big healer. Its not one genre but many genres that I listen to. One of them being Pop, and more specifically Korean Pop, also known as K-Pop. Through K-Pop, I came to discover Bangtan Sonyeondan aka BTS. I knew BTS music since some years as my sister is a big K-Pop fan. I had never paid heed to the translation of the lyrics. But this time, I did. And it helped me to explore the concept of "Magic Shop". BTS's song "Magic Shop" is based on the concepts shared in a book called "Into the Magic Shop" by James R Doty. This is a wonderful heartwarming book that thankfully does not preach peachy concepts on how to deal with situations in life. As I am exploring more music, songs, TED talks, Sanskrit prayers that were meant for healing & self growth, I am also exploring more ways to work on my thought processes also.

Each person's journey of self healing is different - just like that person -who is unique in his or her own way. Its heartening to hear & read different journeys. Its upto us to extract what we need from such kind of interactions, concentrate the thoughts behind, formulate our own formula of dealing with the situations, chart out the workplan & stick to it. These words in the last sentence are from the "MBA" lingo but it makes sense only if one knows when & where to use them in person.

As of now, I have stopped planning completely, taking life each day as it comes. I do have my escapism tendencies coming up big way as a method of dealing....but with a touch of reality. As someone rightly said somewhere, "There is a thin almost invisible line between imagination & reality. We always are on the crossroads of this line. But we have the power to convert our imaginations into reality & vice versa!"

The routes of changes are always there......some settle on the sidelines, some stay at cross roads, some keep exploring, some get lost & some chart out the navigational routes!! I am working on myself to be the charter!!
